im just lookkng for a minecraft horror mod where i can actually fight back or run away and not just walk into a cave or outside for 30 seconds then instantly dying with no way to do anything against it like the horror games where you can scare them away with a flare gun or kill them but its hard or somthing

A true Herobrine mod where he stalks u from a far but will find a way to disappear would be actually so lit, but their doing other kinds of creatures.

I remember a tutorial world that had a library-castle and a swampy spawn, with boats prominently featured. I must have deleted the save at some point (or loads of my old worlds in bulk), as it seems to be missing. I'd like to find it, where did you find these tutorial worlds?

Right now only the demo is out, and I’d say it’s a mix of the amazing games like The Complex and Lost Tape, but it also has entities. This one doesn’t have nearly as much popularity as it needs to, and once the full release is out, I hope it costs money, because I sure as hell want to donate my 10 pounds to the developer. In my opinion Minecraft is already pretty scary at times. Endermen, spiders, wardens and creepers are pretty freaky on their own. Especially the concept of how monsters appear in the dark and it's up to you to stop them. The Cave Dweller should have been similar to a spider (imo the Minecraft spiders are terrifying) and it is able to alter caves and make traps in them, not just a lankier zombie. It does chase you, but it will "leave you alone" once you get far enough from it... And it settle with making traps and altering the cave in order to kill you.

For a free project, I actually got into it WAY more than I did. Especially after dealing with crap like Garten of Banban...

I have a huge love for indigo park, and I have some criticism that I don’t really admit, if there is one thing I think should be improved in later installments, it’s the way our character interacts with these mascots, considering they were fans of the mascots as a child. But you can’t make a great game without some criticism, but I know that this game is something very special.

These mods fail to understand the fear of the unknown, cuz that’s what makes those weird sounds so unsettling. It’s not knowing what the source of the noises are. That’s why cave noises are infamously known to be creepy. These mods just show the monster right away when they should be hiding it more but making its presence known

Horror shouldnt be about jumpscares and scary things. Its about giving the players an unsettling feeling of not being truly alone and make the players fear whats beyond their expectations.

A "horror" mod for minecraft i personally really like is "from the fog" which just adds herobrine, but not in the "he will attack you and build his letters in your world" way but in the stalker kind of way.

I think it's hilarious that some of the obviously younger commenters are so entitled that they hate on your video. I saw one comment even ask why not the newer mods while this was made almost half a year prior. In my opinion, horror, and even the aspect of fear itself, is what you make of it. Some mods are practically copy-paste, but some do scare players, even if it is just cheap jumpscares. I will admit, I have noticed some genuinely unsettling horror mods and concepts out there. As others have stated, I feel as if horror mods are going in the wrong direction, and maybe experimenting isn't such a bad choice. I know this all is probably irrelevant, but I thought I'd put my thoughts out there on such a controversial concept. For the tldr's: imo, creepy unsettling mod > spoofy loud copy-paste chase boi mod Edit: You practically said the same thing in your video 😂

horror mods should not be following the steps of cave dweller but instead other mods like "From the fog". An actual good horror mod is being developed right now which is called "bearman" youll notice him stalking you at points and hear his roars and it could be hours before he makes his move to attack.

this video is great and while i was watching this it reminded me of all the mashup packs that they had. The halloween world, Chinese Mythology world, toy story world. you should cover those ones if you can

I’ve noticed that people tend to be a lot more scared of the Warden than any of these ‘dweller-likes’. I think it’s because you aren’t supposed to fight the Warden, but avoid it. It creates a certain tension, don’t make noise or you die. Future horror mods should really draw from warden and enderman mechanics. Every monster should have a way to avoid it be it looking away, staying quiet, or what else. You should spend most of your time hiding from the monster, not running from it or fighting it.

Playing this and witnessing Jumbo Josh BODY the cast had me like actually screaming it was unironically SO PEAK 🔥🔥🔥

Unique geese said himself that once every chapter was out he would redo chapter one. Also the game is free, a passion project, made by a guy with little experience and still came out great. I hope chapter 2 leaves a better impression on you :D

THANK YOU FOR THE ARM THING. When I played the game, the main distraction was the dumb arm mesh lmao. That arm looks so dumb and was my least favorite part. Thankfully though, Uniquegeese said he will probably rework the arm mesh and animations to make them more clean. Also just so you know the blood from Mollie when we decapitate her was included because he wanted to confirm the mascots aren't animatronics and are alive too.

issue with cave dweller, is that unless you're a noob at minecraft or a child or scare easily, it's more annoying than scary. same for all others unless you specifically play to be scared or just to experience it, it's gonna be just annoying

I always played Tu12 at my friends house, i still remember the creepership and i always thought creepers would spawn in the night at the ship, but it turned out that my friend spawned them when i was not looking.
